Smitfraud Trojan is a Trojan that attempts to alter the default or user-defined Windows desktop wallpaper to a simulated image with a blue screen that has a message containing a fatal error in the internet explorer. This program is also reported to have been used to steal confidential information about customers of financial institutions such as Smith Barney.
