W32 lovsan infiltrates systems by exploiting a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows. It scans the random IP range on TCP port 135 to search for target systems, and eventually execute the file MSBLAST.exe from a remote system via TFTP, enabling it to spread and launch Denial of Service attacks.
