This Trojan connects to the Internet to download its components, further infecting your system. It populates executables that starts with the letters PR and ends with TECT; the middle letter varies, however (results in a filename like pr*tect.exe). To remain undetected, Prutec also attempts to shutdown your anti-spyware programs.
