  • Stops junk mail with 5 powerful spam filtering engines
  • Employs several types of artificial intelligence algorithms to filter spam
  • Seamlessly integrates with popular email clients
  • No maintenance required; set it and forget it

How does ZeroSpam 2004 work?
When you receive your email, ZeroSpam 2004 creates a fingerprint ID of each email and checks it against the ZeroSpam Network database to see if the email is spam. Each time you approve or block an email, ZeroSpam 2004 instantly updates the network. You help stop spam by approving or blocking email, and benefit from other members' real time anti-spam blocking or approval. No other product comes close to the power of ZeroSpam's more than 1 million network members.

As soon as spammers' tactics change, the ZeroSpam worldwide network responds. This dynamically updated network combines Heuristics, Bayesian analysis, Fuzzy Logic, Source analysis, and Artificial Intelligence to make ZeroSpam 2004 the ultimate spam defense system.

Five powerful Anti-Spam Engines keep your email inbox clean:

Analyze SpamBulk – checks to see if the email is sent as part of a batch of messages
Analyze SpamRepute – checks whether the email comes from a trustworthy source
Analyze SpamContent – analyzes the header and body of the email for offensive, spam, or junk-related content
Analyze SpamTricks – checks for the latest tricks employed to avoid spam filters
Analyze SpamID – checks whether the sender has been previously convicted of spamming

I am not able to see my ZeroSpam toolbar but I installed ZeroSpam Outlook Edition.

Symptom:
After installing or opening ZeroSpam, the ZeroSpam toolbar fails to appear in Outlook. The ZeroSpam buttons may appear and disappear repeatedly during normal use of Outlook.

Solution:
The ZeroSpam toolbar disappears (or never appears) for the following reasons:
  1. Outlook stays open or is running in the background.
  2. COM Add-Ins issue
  3. ZeroSpam is moved to the Disabled Items (Outlook XP/2002 users only)

To determine the cause and solution to your problem, please follow these troubleshooting steps:
  1. Close Outlook.
  2. Open Windows Task Manager. You can do this in Windows 2000 and XP by right clicking on the Task Bar and selecting Task Manager.
  3. Click on the Processes tab.
  4. If you see an Outlook.exe entry in the list of running programs, you are experiencing issue #1. Please refer to Outlook Open in Background below. If you see no such entry, please continue.
  5. Open Outlook.
  6. Go to Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options > COM Add-Ins
  7. Highlight FBM Add-In and click Remove if listed. After removing the Add-In click Add and proceed to Step 9.
  8. If FBM Add-In is not listed, click Add.
  9. Browse to the ZeroSpam installation directory. By default, it is c:\Program Files\FBM Software\ZeroSpam. Highlight the ZeroSpamOutlookAddin.dll file and click OK.
  10. Outlook XP/2002 Users - In Outlook, please click on Help > About > Disabled Items. If ZeroSpam is listed, please highlight the entry and click Enable. Close Outlook and reopen it. If ZeroSpam isn't listed in Disabled Items, please go to Request for Help below.
  11. If the ZeroSpam buttons still have not appeared, please see Detect and Repair below.
  12. If none of these steps have resolved the issue, please send report.txt and systeminfo.txt files to customer support at support@zerospam.com. See How to Retrieve Log Files below.

Outlook Open in Background

Some handheld applications or email syncing software such as ActiveSync keep Outlook open in the background to sync with the Inbox or Contacts data.
  1. To properly launch ZeroSpam, close all instances of Outlook completely. If Outlook remains open in the background, ZeroSpam will not load properly.
  2. To check if Outlook is remaining open in the background, view the Processes tab in Task Manager. Task Manager is available in Windows XP and Windows 2000 by right clicking on the Task Bar and selecting Task Manager. Be sure to select the Processes tab - the Applications tab will not show background processes.
  3. Look for an Outlook.exe entry after closing the Outlook interface. If an Outlook.exe is still listed, please highlight it and click ‘End process’. This step will completely close Outlook and allow ZeroSpam to launch the next time Outlook is open.
Some ActiveSync users may notice that Outlook is open in the background all the time. Disconnecting the handheld from the USB port normally closes Outlook and allows ZeroSpam should launch when Outlook is re-opened.
Detect and Repair
If this process fails to bring the ZeroSpam buttons to the Outlook toolbar, please follow these instructions:
  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click Help > Detect and Repair
  3. Follow the Detect and Repair instructions to repair Outlook and properly install all necessary components.
